Chase has brought several enhancements to its popular Sapphire Preferred (CSP) and Sapphire Reserve (CSR). The annual fees ($95 on CSP and $550 on CSR) are kept the same. We think CSP's enhancements have been long overdue because the non-fee duo Freedom Flex and Freedom Unlimited have offered some similar bonus categories for a while. With a reasonable annual fee, CSP is now #3 best credit card for rewards. While we think CSR has been competitive even after Chase increased the annual fee from $450 to $550 last year mostly due to the COVID related temporary benefits, we certainly welcome the new benefits which will keep this card one of our top recommendations. With these enhancements, CSR and CSP now take the first and second spots on our Top 10 list. Citi Prestige was taken off the list because it has been discontinued to new applicants. Below are the before and after Top 10. Chase Sapphire Preferred Enhancements (effective August 16, 2021)
Chase Sapphire Reserved Enhancements (Effective August 16, 2021)

This card offers an amazing 100,000 miles signup bonus, great perks for United flyers (rated #8 Best Credit Card for Perks), and great consumer protection (rated #7 Best Credit Card for Protection).
There have been more temporary credit card benefits announced recently, mostly on Amex cards. Via Amex Offers, Amex introduced $10-$20 monthly dining credits for a few personal co-branded cards and $10-20 monthly wireless credits for a few business co-branded cards. In addition, on personal Marriott and Hilton cobranded cards, there are some bonus points opportunities for general spendings. We have updated the featured review accordingly and also pasted everything over here. As always, the new benefits are highlighted in cardinal.

© 2011-2021 DrCreditCard.net All rights reserved. Chase has just increased the signup bonuses on the personal Southwest Rapid Rewards (RR) Visa credit cards to a historical high - 80,000 points for each card:
In addition, the two Chase Southwest BUSINESS Visa cards continue to offer great signup bonuses as well:
As usual, the signup bonus is not available if you currently have any personal Southwest Rapid Rewards credit card or have received a signup bonus for any personal Southwest credit card in the past 24 months, except for Southwest Premier Business card (for which the bonus is not available if you current have this business card or have received a signup bonus for this business card in the past 24 months). In addition, the three personal cards are subject to Chase 5/24 rule based on anecdotal reports (you won't be approved for the card if you have opened 5 or more new accounts within the past 24 months; any new account with any issuer will count, not just with Chase; new accounts include most credit cards and charge cards but exclude non-Chase business cards and store charge cards). Wow, Amex and Chase have brought us a few truly exciting offers this week, each representing the historical high. We estimate the value of each offer based on our valuation of points, mostly from the miles transfer feature for long-haul international premium cabin redemptions, as well as typical spending pattern. Do your own math to see your value. See the fine prints for the eligibility.
