First of all, we would like to clarify our criteria of grouping. The cash back cards are self explanatory and no much to say there. By "Fixed Value Rewards Cards", we group cards that give you points or miles that are NOT associated with any airline/hotel frequent traveler programs. Rather, these "fake" miles/points can be redeemed for merchandise, gift cards, cash, or travel expense, at fixed value. By "Miles/Point Credit Cards", we talk about cards that give you miles/points of airline/hotel frequent traveler programs or rewards points that can be transferred to such miles/points. Frequent traveler miles/points are complex in nature and their value varies from time to time and from person to person.
