[DEAD] Amex SPG Card 30,000 points signup offer is returning!

[Update 10/12/11] Both offers have expired.

Last year, Amex offered a similar deal and is bringing it back again this year. You get 10K points after the first use, and then an additional 20K after spending $4,500 within 3 months. The regular offer is only up to 25K and you need to spend $15K within 6 months. Amex SPG is one of our Top Lister and 30K SGP points can worth as much as $1,000, either when redeemed toward SPG hotel stays or transferred into miles of 30+ airlines.

Two current Membership Rewards (MR) transfer promotions: 50% bonus to BA & 67% bonus to Delta

American Express Membership Rewards (MR) points can be transferred to miles of 17 frequent flyer programs. Two current promotions are going on:

50% bonus to British Airways before 7/31: You don't need to register, just log into your Amex account, link a BA Executive Club account, and you will see 1,000 points = 1,500 miles.
67% bonus to Delta SkyMiles before 9/30: You need to register here. How it works is a little tricky: for every 50K points transferred, you will get 20K points back later on. Thus 30K points = 50K miles. What is good is that unlike the current 50% to Delta promotion, this new promotion is not limited to first time MR-Delta transferring members. However, some people might find the 50% promotion better since it also gives you 25K MQMs (Medallion Qualifying Miles).

Chase Sapphire Preferred was enhanced quietly

Chase quietly added a list of 2x bonus categories, including dining, airfare, hotel, car rentals, travel agencies etc., to its Sapphire Preferred. The card used to be considered inferior to Amex PR Gold in our old review, now all of the sudden it almost becomes as good. The new United Mileage Plus Explorer Visa Signature just came out today

After weeks of rumor, here finally came the new United MP Explorer. Here is the application page with so-called 40,000 miles signup offer - it should be worded as just 30,000 miles since the final 10,000 miles after $25,000 spending is a standard feature that goes on every year not just the first year. [DEAD] Citi American Airlines AAdvantage Cards 75,000 miles offer still alive & 1st year free!

Even though the deadline passed a long time ago, Citi did not take the links off its website, which means if you sign up now you may very likely get the signup offer. The offer pages do not indicate 75,000 miles or what is so ever; however, there are a tons of reported success (check out the 400+ page thread on FlyerTalk if you like) even as of now. Many people also reported getting 75K x 3 by signing up all three cards (Visa, Amex, Business) at the same time and it seems that you have to use different browsers for each application. So the bottom line is if you haven't got the AA cards, try it at your risk - personally I think the risk is small. The offer has expired as of October 2011.

Chase Hyatt Card - two free nights at any Hyatt including Park Hyatt (1st year NOT free)

[Update 6/13/12] The offer with $75 credit is gone. But the original offer (at the end of the post) is still up.

[Update 5/15/12] There is a slightly better offer out there for the Hyatt Visa - two free nights plus $75 statement credit. Note that the 1st annual fee is still not waived, so essentially this credit offsets the annual fee.

[Original Post 7/15/11] Chase Hyatt Card offers two free nights at any Hyatt hotels including the high-end Park Hyatt as the signup bonus. The nightly rate could be as high as $500 to $1,000. Bear in mind that you have to pay the $75 annual fee up front. The other way to look at this is that two nights means as much as 44,000 Hyatt points since the top-category Hyatt hotels require 22,000 points per night. Chase British Airways Visa Signature is offering 50K miles as signup bonus. The 1st year annual fee is NOT waived. It is not the greatest offer compared to the 100,000 miles offer they did in December 2009 and again March 2011. However, if you want BA miles now this is still a good deal. [Original Post] This may be a targeted offer. However you can put in your SkyMiles number to see if you qualify for the 50K offer. I only got 25K offer when I tried. However, there are reported success of getting the best offer. The offer page is here.
