With the merger between American Airlines and US Airways on the way, people are speculating eventually the miles in the combined frequent flyer program will be devaluated.  At the same time, Citi has brought several amazing deals on the Executive AAdvantage World Elite MasterCard (WEMC) which carries a $450 annual fee - the 60K offer was covered in the previous blog article, and now there are two even more amazing offers which will be covered here.  Since Amex Platinum will lose Admiral Club access after March 22, 2014, Citi Executive AAdvantage WEMC will become the sole card that provides that access.  Our opinion is that no matter who bad the potential devaluation will be, the 100K offer is hard to resist, and you will still have quite some time to use those miles at the current rate.

[Update 10/3/2014] The offer has been changed slightly - the only difference is that they have removed the 10K miles bonus for balance transfer.  It is not a big deal since the hefty balance transfer fee doesn't make sense to most people anyway.  The application page in the original post still works.

Please note that there is a similar offer currently available - 35K miles after 1st use & $89 annual fee waived for the 1st year & 10K bonus miles upon each anniversary.  Here is what we think if you have a hard time figuring out which offer to get - for the signup bonus the 35K offer is a better deal unless you value a US Airways mile more than 1.78 cents a piece.  Also the 35K offer get you an additional 10K miles upon your 1st anniversary for only $89.  With the merger between US Airways and American Airlines, Barclays US Airways MC is going to go away eventually, but it will be around for a while, at least one year since it takes time to merge two royalty programs.  So if you apply the 35K offer, we are almost sure that you will get the 10K bonus miles upon your 1st anniversary.

Capital One Venture is one of the fixed point credit cards that return 2 points per dollar spent.  Unlike miles/points from most frequent traveler programs, the value of Capital One reward points is topped at 1 cent per point (when you redeem for travel).  For a limited time, Capital One is offering 50,000 points after you sign up for a new card and spend $3,000 within 3 months.  This is the best offer since several years ago when Capital One offered 100K points on this product.
