You receive 25,000 miles & 5,000 MQMs after the first use, and an additional 30,000 miles & 15,000 MQMs after you spend $5,000 within 3 months. It is not bad to have 55,000 redeemable miles by signing up a card, and what is more interesting is those 20K MQMs which can be huge for Delta flyers who are working toward status - it puts you almost Silver Medallion (only 5K short) and 40% toward Gold Medallion. Platinum Delta card also has a built-in miles booster feature - spend $25K and get a boost of 10K miles and spend another $25K and get another 10K miles. These booster miles are both in RDMs and MQMs. So if you signup through this offer and spend $50K in a year, you will have a whooping 40K MQMs - 80% toward Gold Medallion without even flying with Delta! The only thing to note is that the first annual fee ($150) is not waived. Recently Amex removed the 1st annual fee waiver on its Platinum Delta SkyMiles cards.
